Chamber of Information Technology and Telecommunication (CIT) is a semi-governmental association keen on establishment and development of this industry across Egypt. CIT is the main entity entrusted development of information technology and innovation with latest trends and market insights.
CIT comprises a number of the highly-qualified calibers in the information technology and telecommunication industry including professional experts, business owners and professors from the most prominent Egyptian universities who combine both professionalism and business market insights.
CIT was founded to encourage foreign, Arab & national investments as well as increasing the real participation of members with such competitive ability of Egyptian industry to push forward the socioeconomic growth across Egypt, in addition to achieving the effective independent representation for the chambers members.
There is no precondition for CIT membership to mention. If you a service provider, manufacturer of specialized products or a business owner working in the information technology and telecommunication industry, you’re then eligible for CIT membership.
The membership of the Chamber of Information Technology and Telecommunication (CIT) is allowed for any company working and specializing in any sector of information technology or telecommunications industry (within the CIT (4) main sectors: Software, Hardware, Communication, and Services) or any discipline of the (15) specialized workgroups. CIT Membership is based on a combination of ICT qualification and any relevant experience in the main sector or working field of specialty. A company applying for CIT membership must be more than 5000 L.E in terms of capital or a number of (25) employees or more as workforce. Membership of the eligible companies shall be subject to the CIT Board of Directors’ approval and review of the submitted documents.

The CIT membership fees are EGP 1000 paid once time upon applying for membership. The following value for annual subscription according to the company’s number of employees shall apply:
  • EGP 500 for companies with 1-50 employees.
  • EGP 1000 for companies with 50-100 employees.
  • EGP 1500 for companies with more than 100 employees.
You can register now for the CIT membership, it’s all easy and quick. You have just to call the Chamber of Information Technology and Telecommunication on 24031987 – 24031985 or send the CIT an e-mail to cit@cit-fei.org to request the Membership Application Form or visit the CIT online portal www.cit-fei.org and download it . Then you or your representatives are kindly required to visit us on our premises located at 51 Abbas El-Akkad St., 3rd floor bringing the following:
  • Membership Application Form completed and duly signed and sealed by the Company authorized signatory.
  • A copy of the updated and valid Tax Card and Commercial Register.
  • Payment of an amount EGP 1000 as membership fees paid only once.
Members who join online or renew by phone are automatically activated. Members who mail their application should have their membership activated within 2–3 weeks after you or your company representative come to the premises of the CIT located at 51 Abbas El-Akkad St., 3rd floor bringing the following:
  • Membership Application Form completed and duly signed and sealed by the Company authorized signatory.
  • A copy of the updated and valid Tax Card and Commercial Register.
  • Payment of an amount EGP 1000 as membership fees paid only once.
