Go to Africa Initiative
is a significant step toward strengthening cooperation between Egypt and African countries in the field of information and communication technology (ICT). The initiative plays a key role in opening new markets for Egyptian companies and boosting Egypt's exports of digital products and services.
Objectives of the Initiative:

Results of the Initiative:
Go to Africa initiative has delivered positive outcomes in a short period, including the signing of several agreements and numerous meetings between Egyptian companies and African entities.
Key Achievements for 2022:-
- Inviting a delegation from Zambia to attend the Chamber's annual conference, “Digital Nation.”
- Signing a Memorandum of Understanding with the Ministry of Science and Technology of the Zambian government for three years during the Digital Nation events.
- CIT participated as a diamond partner in the African Innovation Summit under the auspices of the Zambian government to open African markets for Egyptian exports.
- The Egyptian delegation met several private sector companies in Zambia and various specialized bodies in the information and communication technology industry.
- Signing a Memorandum of Understanding between the Egyptian Chamber of Commerce and the Chamber of Commerce in Lusaka, Zambia.
- Conducting 121 meetings with key government institutions and private sector companies.
- Meeting 10 ministries from Zambia, Uganda, Mauritius, Angola, Sierra Leone, Nigeria, Mozambique, and Zimbabwe.
- Holding 52 bilateral meetings with governmental entities and 69 bilateral meetings with private sector companies in Zambia and participating African organizations.
- Signing more than 11 cooperation agreements between Egyptian companies that are members of the Chamber and Zambian government entities and private sector companies.
- A visit by a delegation of Zambian IT companies, led by the Zambian Minister of Technology and Science, to Egypt.
Key Achievements for 2023
- CIT participated with an Egyptian pavilion through a delegation of 12 participants at the 16th Annual eLearning Africa 2023 Conference and Exhibition, held in Dakar, Senegal.
